RALEIGH, NC – Amelia Rajecki recently wrapped up her stellar Wolfpack career with her second consecutive semifinal appearance in the NCAA Singles Championships. She is now a back-to-back ITA All-American in singles.
The "All-American" title is given to student-athletes who earn a top 16 seed in the NCAA Singles Championship, advance to the round of 16 in the NCAA Singles Championship, or finish in the top 20 of the final ITA Singles Rankings.
Rajecki checked off all three boxes as she was seeded second in the NCAA Singles Championship, defeated No. 17 Irina Cantos Siemers to advance to the round of 16, and finished the year at No. 2 in the ITA rankings.
One of the most decorated women's tennis players at NC State, Rajecki leaves NC State as an ITA All-American in both singles (2023, 2024) and doubles (2023), making her only the fourth player in program history to be an All-American in both singles and doubles.
After setting the program record last season for single-season wins in singles (40), Rajecki this season finished with 37 wins. She surpassed 100 career wins in singles and doubles to become just the third player to win 100 singles and doubles matches while at NC State.
The Nottingham, England native began preseason ranked third in the country, giving the Wolfpack their highest-ranked player in program history. Rajecki moved as high as No. 2 in the ITA rankings on April 23 to set another program record and has been the nation's second-ranked player since.
