
Robin Catry Is Set To Compete In First Round of NCAA Singles Championship

STILLWATER, OK- The NCAA released Sunday morning the 2024 NCAA Division I men's singles tennis championship bracket taking place in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Senior Robin Catry will represent the Wolfpack in round one of the NCAA singles tournament Monday, May 20 to take on opponent No. 16 Nishesh Basavareddy of Stanford at 3:00 p.m. CST/ 4:00 p.m. EST.Â
Despite the Wolfpack's season coming to an end in Raleigh May 4 after a tough defeat to South Carolina 4-3 in the second round of the NCAA tournament. Senior Robin Catry will set his sights on Stillwater, Oklahoma for a chance at the NCAA Singles Championship.

ÂIf Catry advances to the second round of 32, then he will go on to compete against the winner of the singles match between Danil Panarin, Vanderbilt vs. Justin Boulais, Ohio State.
ÂCatry, the Pack's sole senior, has led the Wolfpack in the number one spot this season in singles play. Catry punched his ticket into the NCAA singles championship after wrapping up his regular season ranked No. 54 in ITA singles rankings. Catry currently holds a 0-0 record in singles play this season. In regular season play Catry was responsible for the 6-4, 6-4 win over Columbia's No. 24 singles player Michael Zheng. Catry also claimed a singles victory over No. 59 Ryan Fishback of Virginia Tech in ACC play.Â
ÂThis season Catry has gone head to head with eleven ranked opponents including three matchups against top ten opponents. This will be Catry's first NCAA Appearance representing the Pack in singles play. In Catry's 2023 season he competed alongside doubles partner Luca Staeheli in the NCAA Doubles championship.Â
