Mimi Collins Signs Training Camp Contract with WNBA's Minnesota Lynx

MINNESOTA, Minn. – NC State women's basketball forward Mimi Collins has signed a training camp contract with the WNBA's Minnesota Lynx, as announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Collins ended the final season of her collegiate career with averages of 10.6 points and 6.2 rebounds, and she hit more than double the number of three pointers (37) in 2023-24 than any previous year. The forward put up shooting percentages of 45.7 percent overall (143-of-313) and 38.9 percent from distance (37-of-95) and scored in double figures 21 times this year.
A native of Slidell, La., Collins reached the 1,000 career point mark early in the season with a 10-point, 11-rebound double-double against Rhode Island. It was one of five double-doubles that she posted in 2023-24. She also set a new career high in scoring with 25 points in the Pack's ACC opener at Virginia and went on to be named a top 10 finalist for the Katrina McClain Award a few weeks later.
Collins made 162 career appearances with totals of 1,344 points and 357 rebounds across two seasons at NC State and previous stops at Maryland and Tennessee. She averaged 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 45.9 percent shooting across her five-season career.
The 2024 WNBA season tips off on Tuesday, May 14, and the league's regular season will conclude on Thursday, Sept. 19 followed by the WNBA Playoffs.
