Negrete Named ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year, 11 Gymnasts Selected to All-Academic Team

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The ACC office announced that NC State's Chloe Negrete was named the 2024 ACC Gymnastics Scholar Athlete of the Year on Friday afternoon in addition to 11 members of the NC State gymnastics team earning All-ACC Academic Team honors.
Gymnasts eligible for the All-Academic Team must maintain a 3.0 GPA while also competing in at least half of the team's meets over the course of the season.
Meg Adler, Kailee Adomaites, Peyton Childs, Katya Edwards, Maddie Hall, Katie Harper, Chloe Negrete, Alexis Ortega, Madeline Reid, Emily Shepard and Krista Zultevicz were all selected to the league's All-Academic team, with Adler, Adomaites, Childs, Edwards, Negrete, Ortega, Reid, Shepard and Zultevicz now having been awarded All-Academic honors multiple times throughout their careers at NC State.
Negrete has now been selected to an all-conference scholastic team in all five of her seasons at NC State and has been a WCGA Academic All-American four times. Negrete graduated with a 4.0 GPA in May 2023 with a degree in Sport Management and is currently working towards a master's degree in Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Sport Management.
Negrete had a fantastic season for the Wolfpack, winning both the ACC's beam and floor titles at the ACC Championship on Mar. 23.
Negrete tabbed 19 podium finishes and 15 scores of 9.9+ for the Wolfpack in 2024, pushing her to the winner of ACC's inaugural Specialist of the Year award.
