RALEIGH - The NC State track and field team is set to return to action tomorrow as it travels to Gainesville, FL to compete in the Tom Jones Memorial Invite and Durham, NC for the Duke Invitational.

NC State is fresh off of a solid two days of performances at the Bill Carson Invite in Greenville, NC. Morris Williams Stadium
On the first day of the event, Katie Horne took first place in the women's javelin with a mark of 43.48m. This is Horne's second win in the javelin this season and her third top-five finish.
Sydney Freeman moved up the ranks in the women's hammer throw with a personal-best throw of 53.36m, which is now the fifth-best mark in program history.
Continuing to build on a strong day for the women's throwing squad, Makala Wright earned third place in the women's hammer throw with an effort of 53.17m.
Kyron Parker showcased his speed on day two of the meet, winning the men's 400m hurdles after clocking in at 55.85. Quentin Clarke ran in the 400m and finished third with a time of 48.54.
In the women's shot put, Ta'Honny Exum threw for a mark of 14.45m to take second and establish the sixth-best throw in school history.
