
Wolfpack Women’s Golf Set for Action at Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

ATHENS, Ga. – The Wolfpack women's golf squad will compete in its final stroke play tournament of the regular season this weekend as it heads to Athens, Ga., for the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The two-day tournament will run Friday and Saturday, and NC State is one of 16 teams competing in the event hosted by Georgia.
NC State heads into its last two events of the 2023-24 regular season coming off of its best performance of the year at the Briar's Creek Invitational. At that tournament two weeks ago, the Wolfpack finished as runner-up, marking its highest regular-season team finish since 2017, and Lauren Olivares Leon was crowned co-champion of the event for the second year in a row.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT/INFO
The Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic will feature 54 holes of stroke play, with 36 played on Friday and the final 18 played on Saturday. There will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on day one of competition, and tee times will start at the same time on Saturday.
