Kansas City, Mo. - For the second time in his career, Trent Hidlay will return to the NCAA Wrestling Championships final round after defeating South Dakota State's Tanner Sloan 4-1 in the semifinal match Friday night. The championship match will be aired at 7Â p.m. EST on ESPN Saturday night.Â
After day two of the national championships at the T-Mobile Center in downtown Kansas City, only three members of the Pack survive and advance. Saturday morning, Kai Orine and Ryan Jack will wrestle in the consolation bracket to determine whether they will be dubbed seventh or eighth place. Hidlay will wrestle his longtime foe, Aaron Brooks of Penn State, to determine whether he is crowned a national champion for the first and only time.Â
