
Wolfpack Gets Ready for Four Match Weekend Beginning Friday

RALEIGH, N.C. – After 33 days on the road, NC State Women's tennis returns to the J.W.Isenhour Tennis Center for four matches over two days beginning on March 1 at 2 p.m. as they open ACC Conference play against No. 28 Notre Dame followed by a match against East Carolina at 6 p.m.
Sunday, March 3rd will see the Wolfpack in another doubleheader, with NC State taking on Louisville at 12 p.m. and No. 75 East Tennessee State at 4 p.m.
All matches this weekend will be streamed live on TrackTennis, and live scores are available here. Fans looking to attend the 2 p.m. match on Friday will need to secure a parking permit. Instructions on securing a parking permit can be found HERE. Both of this Sunday's matches are free to attend, and nearby parking is also free of charge.
The Wolfpack will be looking to end a three-match losing streak and remain unbeaten at home this season. The Wolfpack has won 11 straight home games, not losing a home match since Jan 29. 2023.
NC State (8-3) has been ranked inside the top 10 nationally all season in the ITA team rankings, checking in at No. 10 this week.
Third ranked singles player Amelia Rajecki was named to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship All-Tournament Team. She went a perfect went a perfect 3-0 at the No.1 singles spot at the national tournament. She helped guide the Wolfpack to their second semifinal appearance in the tournament with a win over No. 21 Washington and No. 1 North Carolina.
Two of the three matches Rajecki won were against ranked opponents. She opened the tournament with a three-set victory over Erika Matsuda of Washington (6-3, 3-6, 6-1) and followed it up with a win over defending ACC and National Player of the Year #28 Fiona Crawley (6-3, 7-5) and #9 Kari Miller of Michigan (7-5, 6-4)
Rajecki is now 8-1 on the 2024 season and is up to 90 career single wins, putting her in a tie with Amanda Rebol for fourth place all-time in program history.
Joining Rajecki in the singles rankings are No. 27 Anna Zyryanova, No. 30 Abigail Rencheli, and No. 44 Sophie Abrams. Abrams and Zyryanova are the ninth-ranked doubles pair, and Rajecki and freshman Maddy Zampardo are ranked No. 13 in doubles.
No. 21 Notre Dame
NC State leads the all-time series 8-3, having won the last eight straight matchups dating back to 2016. The fighting Irish come to Raleigh 9-3 and 1-1 in conference play.
East Carolina
This will be the 31st all-time matchup between these two in-state opponents. The Wolfpack are 30-0 against the Pirates. These two programs first matched up in 1978 and have played one another every year for the past 11 years.
Louisville
The Wolfpack will take a nine-game win streak against the Cardinals into Sunday's matchup. Louisville is currently 4-5 on the season and 0-2 in ACC play.
No. 75 ETSU
First meeting in 1986, The Wolfpack has never lost to East Tennessee State, taking an 8-0 record into Sunday. This will be the seventh straight season the Buccaneers and Wolfpack will meet.
