NC State Ranked No. 18 in NCBWA’s Preseason Top 25

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State baseball team was ranked No. 18 in the NCBWA's 2024 Preseason Top 25 poll, as announced by the publication on Thursday afternoon.
NC State's roster is comprised of 39 student-athletes, featuring 20 returners and 19 newcomers (13 freshmen and six transfers). Earlier in January, D1Baseball tabbed NC State with the No. 5 freshman class in the nation and the No. 12 transfer class. The Wolfpack has also already been ranked in the preseason top 25 of three other major publications – No. 13 in D1Baseball's poll, No. 19 in Perfect Game's poll and No. 22 in Baseball America's poll.
Earlier on Friday, ESPN released its national broadcast schedule for college baseball, which features the Pack on ACC Network seven times during the 2024 regular season.
The Wolfpack finished its 2023 season with a 36-21 record, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the 33rd time in program history with a berth in the NCAA Columbia Regional. NC State has made an NCAA Regional appearance in 17 of the past 20 national tournaments dating back to 2003.
NC State opens its 2024 season at home against VCU on Feb. 16. First pitch at Doak Field at Dail Park is set for 3 p.m. Reserved season tickets are sold out, but limited standing room only season tickets still remain. Single game and mini-pack options also remain available.
