Pack Hosts Coastal Carolina Thursday

RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 20/18 NC State women's basketball team will host Coastal Carolina on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. at Reynolds Coliseum. Coverage of the game will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
SCOUTING NC STATE
- NC State, 2-2, dropped to No. 20 in the AP Poll and No. 18 in the WBCA Coaches Poll. The Pack's two losses are to the No. 1 (South Carolina) and No. 19 (TCU) teams in the top 20 in the AP Poll
- The Pack has five players who average more than 7.3 points per game across the first two weeks of play
- Through four games, the Pack is led by Aziaha James' 19.3 points per game and 2.5 assists per game
- With back-to-back 20-pieces, James now has 1,039 career points (surpassing 1K on Nov. 14), which is now the 37th most points in school history
- Saniya Rivers leads the Pack on the boards (6.0), blocks per game (1.5) and steals per game (1.8)
- The Pack leads the ACC in least fouls per game (10.0), which is second in the country
SCOUTING COASTAL CAROLINA
- Coastal was chosen to finish ninth in the Sun Belt
- The Chants are coming off a 12-21 season, 5-13 in league play, in 2023-24
- Alancia Ramsey was chosen on the Preseason All-Sun Belt Third team. She averaged 9.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a freshman last season
- This season, Savannah Brooks leads the Chants with 14.0 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game, as well as 14 total steals
- Jayden Marable has a team's most 14 assists and Riley Stack leads with 13 blocks
SERIES HISTORY (NC STATE LEADS SERIES 1-0)
- The Pack will play Coastal Carolina for the first time since 2020 and second time in school history
- NC State is 1-0 edge in the series following a 98-46 win at home in December 2020
LAST TIME OUT
- NC State dropped a close one at now-19th ranked TCU, 76-73 on Sunday. After being down by as many as 12 points, the Pack cut the deficit to one with under a minute to play, but could not close it out
- James came off the bench and delivered 27 points, her second consecutive 20-point game, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. She became the first player since Rivers (vs. Iowa in 2022) to record 20+ points off the bench
- Rivers recorded 16 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes against TCU
- Zoe Brooks logged 15 points, six boards and three assists
UPCOMING
The Pack will travel to the Bahamas to play at the Pink Flamingo Championship from Nov. 25-27. NC State will play Southern on Monday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. The Pack will be back at home on Thursday, Dec. 5 to host Ole Miss at 7 p.m. Single-game tickets can be purchased HERE.
