#Pack9 Ranked No. 19 in Perfect Game Preseason Top 25

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State baseball team was ranked No. 19 in Perfect Game's 2024 Preseason Top 25 poll, as announced by the publication on Friday afternoon.
NC State's fall roster is comprised of 40 student-athletes, featuring 20 returners and 20 newcomers (14 freshmen and six transfers). Three of the Wolfpack's six transfers (Hollis Fanning, Alec Makarewicz and Garrett Pennington) were named to D1Baseball's Top 130 2024 Impact Transfers list in September. Returning Wolfpack catcher and 2023 Second Team All-ACC honoree Jacob Cozart was also named a Preseason First Team All-American by Perfect Game on Thursday.
The Wolfpack finished its 2023 season with a 36-21 record, advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the 33rd time in program history with a berth in the NCAA Columbia Regional. NC State has made an NCAA Regional appearance in 17 of the past 20 national tournaments dating back to 2003.
The Pack opens its 2024 season at home against VCU on Feb. 16. First pitch at Doak Field at Dail Park is set for 3 p.m.
