SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After entering the season on the watch list for the honor, NC State women's basketball's Mimi Collins has been named a top 10 candidate for the 2024 Katrina McClain Award that recognizes the top power forward in women's NCAA Division I basketball.
Wolfpack fans are encouraged to participate in this year's Fan Voting, which opens on Friday, Jan. 26. The fan vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process. In early March, five finalists will be presented to McClain and the Hall of Fame's selection committee.

Originally from Slidell, La., Collins joined the Wolfpack in the summer of 2022 and was ranked among the top 25 most impactful transfers in the nation by ESPN ahead of 2022-23. She has played all 50 games since arriving at NC State and 143 games in her five-year career, which ranks seventh among all Division I women's basketball players.
Collins is currently leading the Pack in scoring in ACC action with 15.2 points per game against league opponents and four 10+ point games. She has not scored fewer than nine points in an ACC game in 2023-24. Collins is tied for the team lead in double-doubles this season, with her three on the year tying her single-season career high. Showing off her versatile shot selection, Collins has also set a career mark in made threes this season with 21 and an impressive 43.8 percent clip (21-of-48) from distance.
