NC State drops ACC road contest to Louisville, 5-2

LOUISVILLE, KY – NC State fell behind early to No. 10 Louisville and never recovered, falling to the Cardinals 5-2.
The Wolfpack surrendered four goals in the first half, its biggest deficit of the season. NC State is still looking for their first road win of the season.
Luke Hille made sure NC State (5-4-0) avoided being shutout, scoring his sixth goal of the year in the 53rd minute.
Louisville (6-1-1) came into the contest having scored first in all seven of their matches. That streak continued as the Cardinals got on the board first and never looked back.
Louisville's first goal came on a set piece, their second when they took advantage of an empty net.
Late in the contest, Wolfpack freshman Hakim Karamoko scored the first goal of his career to round out the scoring.
NC State remained aggressive throughout, attempting 14 shots in the match.
Up next: NC State welcomes Gardner-Webb to Dail Soccer Stadium on Wednesday at 7 pm.
