Pack Selected to Compete at NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The first weekend of the 2024 Wolfpack softball schedule was announced Friday afternoon as the program was selected to compete in the 21st Annual NFCA Division I Leadoff Classic, which will be held Feb. 9-11, 2024.
The 17-team, four-day showcase will take place at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla.
The last time the Pack opened the season in Clearwater was in 2020, and this season will mark the program's third time participating in the three-day event.
NC State will open the 2024 season on Feb. 9 against Iowa at 1pm ET on field two and Missouri at 7pm ET on field three.
The Pack will play another doubleheader on the Feb. 10 against Missouri State at 10am ET and Western Kentucky at 1pm ET. Both games will take place on field one.
NC State will wrap up play at the Leadoff Classic on Sat. Feb. 11 against St. John's at 10am ET on field four.
Alongside the Pack, two other Atlantic Coast Conference schools will be in attendance – Clemson and Notre Dame. Also attending the tournament are Army, Central Arkansas, Iowa, Liberty, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina Central, Oregon, South Alabama and Utah.
