"I am honored to be welcomed into the NC State family and be part of Coach Kiefer's staff," Madero said. "Upon speaking with Coach Kiefer I knew NC State was the right place for my family. This opportunity will provide the experience for me to learn from one of the best coaching staff in college soccer."
At UTRGV Madero was part of a staff that saw the program earn its first-ever national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll and a No. 2 seed in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament.
During his stint with the Vaqueros, UTRGV went 21-18-5 overall.
Prior to his time at UTRGV, Madero was part of the staff for the US Virgin Island National Team. Madero led the national team to its first home game CONCACAF Nations League win. From November 2020 through October of 2022, Madero was the Technical Director for RGV Toros MLS/USL Academy.
He also served as the goalkeeper coach for USL Championship RGV Toros and was the head coach for the U15 and U19 boys.
Madero started his career at his alma mater, Liberty University, in 2010 as an assistant coach/Director of Performance Analysis. During his time with the Flames he was also the recruiting coordinator, coaching 12 All-Americans and 11 National team players.
"I look forward to building relationships and serving these talented young men as we strive to achieve greatness daily," Madero said. "I am excited to help provide a first-class student-athlete experience and use this platform to serve the local community."
Madero has been a part of 14 post conference appearances and four championship games. He also coached three Conference Players of the Year.
During his career, Madero has worked with more than 27 student-athletes who have signed professional contracts.
During his playing days at Liberty, Madero compiled a 16-4-6 record as a goalkeeper from 2007-09, with a program record goals against average of 0.52. Madero holds the home record with eight shutouts and finished his career without giving up a goal at home, going 10-0-2 overall at Osborne Stadium.
"I want to thank my mentors and Coach Kiefer for their continued support and for giving me this opportunity," Madero said. "I am excited for this fall season to start."
