GREENSBORO, N.C. — After making a run to the NCAA Championships title match, its deepest tournament run in program history, the NC State women's tennis team racked up on honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference as the league office announced its yearly award winners.
The ACC Freshman of the Year is a member of the Pack for the second time in a row as rookie Diana Shnaider was honored with the annual award.
Simon Earnshaw was named ACC Coach of the Year for the second time in his career after first earning that title in 2019.
NC State also tied its program record number of all-conference honorees as Shnaider (First Team All-ACC Singles, First Team All-ACC Doubles), Alana Smith (First Team All-ACC Doubles, Second Team All-ACC Singles), Amelia Rajecki (Second Team All-ACC Singles, Second Team All-ACC Doubles) and Nell Miller (Second Team All-ACC Doubles) were recognized for their successes.
The Wolfpack has had at least two all-conference players for six completed seasons in a row. The honors were the first of Rajecki and Shnaider's careers.
All four women were All-Americans in singles, doubles or both following the 2023 season. The Pack's seven All-America designations led the nation. Rajecki advanced to the singles semifinal at the NCAA Championships, the first Wolfpack player to ever do so.
Earnshaw and his team put together a historic season all-around, beginning with a demanding regular-season slate. The Pack collected 24 wins before the postseason before setting a new program record for overall wins with its 28-5 dual match mark. NC State also won the first ACC Tournament title in program history, handing rival North Carolina its only loss of the season in the championship match.
