GREENSBORO, N.C. — NC State women's basketball will be at home for the inaugural year of the ACC/SEC Challenge as it is set to welcome Vanderbilt to Reynolds Coliseum for the 2023 edition of the event.
The game is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 29 and will tip off at 7:15 p.m. Broadcast information will be released at a later date. All ACC/SEC Challenge games will be carried on an ESPN platform.
The upcoming matchup between the Wolfpack and the Commodores will be the teams' ninth overall meeting. NC State owns the 6-2 advantage in the series record and is on a four-game winning streak over Vanderbilt. The teams faced off last season in the 2022 Cancun Challenge, with the Pack shooting over 52 percent in its 82-73 win.
NC State last took on Vandy at home on Nov. 15, 2018 during non-conference action that season. The Wolfpack earned a 20-point victory over the Commodores in what rounded out a home-and-home series between the squads. Vanderbilt has not beat NC State since Nov. 28, 2009.
The creation of the ACC/SEC Challenge marks the end of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge that started in 1999 as a first-of-its-kind event. The Pack ended the ACC/Big Ten Challenge riding a four-game winning streak with recent decisions over Michigan (2018), Maryland (2019), Indiana (2021) and Iowa (2022).
NC State's full non-conference schedule for the 2023-24 campaign will be released in the coming weeks. Season tickets for the upcoming campaign are still on sale here.
