Wolfpack Sets New APR Mark

In an academic year that saw the Wolfpack winning national championships and conference titles, NC State athletics has also enjoyed great success academically. In the latest Academic Progress Rate (APR) data released today by the NCAA, NC State boasted a 993 – the top mark in school history.
Ten of the Wolfpack's 21 teams earned a perfect 1000, while 19 of the 21 teams are above the national average for their sport.Â
APR is a term-by-term measure of eligibility and retention for Division I student-athletes that was developed by the NCAA as an indicator of eventual graduation rates. The formula is based on the eligibility and retention of each scholarship student-athlete and rates are based on the past four years' performance.
