RALEIGH NC State knew it was making a return trip to the NCAA Tournament. The only question mark was the location and opponent.
That mystery was solved on Monday.
The No. 25 Wolfpack (15-9) will take on Oklahoma in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. The time will be announced later. The match will be played at No. 6 Georgia, the host for the first two rounds.
This is the fourth ever meeting between the two programs. Oklahoma leads the all-time series 2-1. The last time the two teams met was in 2013, a 4-0 win by the Sooners in the NCAA tournament.
No. 32 Oklahoma (14-11) finished fourth overall in the Big 12 Conference.
This marks the 13th trip to the NCAA tournament in program history. The team has advanced to the NCAA tournament every year under head coach Kyle Spencer.
NC State finished with a school-record nine ACC wins this season, going 9-3 in league play. The Pack entered the ACC Tournament last month as the No. 3 seed.
Four of the six starters on this year's team played in the NCAA Tournament a year ago, giving the Pack some experience.
