Gymnastics Announces New Signee

RALEIGH - NC State gymnastics welcomed incoming freshman Katie Harper to the program on Monday, as announced by head coach Kim Landrus. A four-time Level Ten national qualifier, Harper comes to Raleigh from Columbus, Ohio where she attended Upper Arlington High School and Universal Gymnasts Inc. Harper cited that a feeling of home on campus, academic opportunities, and a connection with the coaching staff and the current roster.

Landrus, a veteran in her sixth season leading the Wolfpack, had this to say of her newest commit, "I am thrilled to be adding Katie to our signing class for this year. Katie's drive and determination to call NC State her home has been evident through the recruiting process. A natural bar swinger, Katie will bring a great level of difficulty to this event, along with a consistency that will allow the Pack to continue climbing in the rankings. Additionally, she has a confidence on beam that will make her vie for a lineup spot early in her career. I am excited to see Katie make an impact immediately for the Pack as she is a four-event gymnast that excels on bars and beam."

Harper will officially make her way to campus in the fall of 2023 and will be eligible for competition in the 2024 season.
