
Pack Receives Bid into NCAA Tournament

NC State receives an 11-seed and will face 6-seed Creighton in first round
RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's basketball team was an at-large selection for the 2023 NCAA Tournament announced Sunday evening on CBS.
NC State is an 11-seed in the South Regional and will face 6-seed Creighton in a first round matchup at Ball Arena in Denver, Colo., on Friday, March 17.
The game will tipoff at 4 PM ET and be televised on TNT.
This will be the third meeting all-time between the two programs. NC State won the first ever meeting between the teams, defeating the Bluejays, 86-55, on Dec. 28, 1987 in the first round of the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii. Creighton won the most recent meeting, defeating the Pack, on Nov. 20, 2017 in the second round of the Paradise Jam played in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
This is the Pack's 28th NCAA Tournament appearance and first since the 2018 season. NC State has an all-time record of 37-25 in the NCAA Tournament.
