With the loss, NC State completes the regular season with a 22-9, 12-8 ACC, record.

After Duke missed the first free throw, NC State got the rebound and Terquavion Smith made his first three-pointer of the game to bring the Pack within nine. On the other end, Ebenezer Dowuona blocked a Duke shot and the Pack rebounded the miss and was fouled going the other way. Jarkel Joiner made both free throws to cut the deficit to seven.

But NC State could get no closer as Duke made all four of its remaining free throws to keep the Pack at a distance.
