
Bennett, Curtiss Garner ACC Diver and Swimmer of the Week Honors

ACC Men's Diver of the Week
Current Wolfpack senior Bayne Bennett's recognition marks the first of his career. The Southern Pines, N.C. native picked up a win on the 1-meter Saturday with his score of 368.70 points, well above the minimum Zones qualifying score. On the 3-meter, Bennett's performance at the Koury Natatorium in Chapel Hill (372.25) marks a new personal best for him, picking up fourth place in the field. The Wolfpack diver is currently ranked No. 1 in the ACC on the 1-meter and No. 4 on the 3-meter, in addition to a No. 22 ranking in the NCAA on the 1-meter.

ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week
Also marking the first ACC Performer of the Week recognition of his career, sophomore David Curtiss earns the award after playing a part in three wins over the weekend. In the 50-yard freestyle, Curtiss raced to victory in just 18.28 seconds. In the 100-yard freestyle, he finished in second place (43.55) behind teammate Noah Henderson, both swimming in the first of two heats. The Yardley, Penn. native contributed efforts to two winning relays, leading off with a 19.33 in the 200-yard free relay and anchoring the 200-medley relay to its victory (18.87). Last year's ACC champion in the event, Curtiss sits at the top of the conference rankings and is ranked No. 7 in the NCAA.
