RALEIGH - The NC State softball team has added graduate transfer Katlyn Pavlick to its 2023 roster, as announced by head coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift on Thursday.
Pavlick spent her previous four seasons at Pittsburgh as an outfielder.
Â
In four seasons with the Panthers, the South Park, Pa., native started in 116 games in left field. As a senior, she ranked second on the team in slugging percentage (.494) as well as home runs with five. Two of those home runs occurred in back-to-back games (vs. Clemson and vs. Boston College). She additionally tallied 19 hits, nine runs and two home runs as a junior.
Pavlick's sophomore season saw her lead the Panthers squad in RBIs with 11, home runs with four, total bases with 34 and triples with two. The strong sophomore campaign followed up a freshman season in which she was second on the team in runs with 24 and ranked third on the squad in on-base percentage (.368). As a freshman, she totaled six multi-hit games as well as a five-game hitting streak.
With the addition of Pavlick, the Pack brings in 13 newcomers in its 2022 signing class.
