NC State and Alabama only two schools with a pair of LBS named
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State linebackers Payton Wilson and Drake Thomas were both named to the Athlon Sports' 2022 Preseason All-American team. Wilson was a second-team selection, while Thomas earned third-team honors.

Both have previously been named to the All-ACC first-team, Thomas last season and Wilson in 2020.
