Thirteen from Pack Named to Phil Steele Preseason Team

Thirteen members of the 2022 Wolfpack football squad have been named to Phil Steele's preseason All-ACC team. NC State had the second-highest number of honorees in the league.

The Wolfpack was well represented on both sides of the ball and on special teams, with center Grant Gibson (1^st), QB Devin Leary (2^nd), OG Chander Zavala (3^rd), WR Devin Carter (3^rd) and WR Thayer Thomas (4^th) earning mention on offense.

On defense, three linebackers made the All-ACC teams: Drake Thomas (1^st), Payton Wilson (3^rd), Isaiah Moore (4^th). Safety Tanner Ingle (2^nd), DT Cory Durden (3^rd) and CB Shyheim Battle (4^th) also earned mention.

Snapper Joe Shimko, a preseason first-team All-American according to Steele, was also a first-team preseason all-league selection, while kicker Christopher Dunn earned third-team mention.
