
Rifle Adds Two to 2022-23 Roster

RALEIGH – Head coach Kelly Carter of NC State rifle has announced the addition of Kyra Meade and Kendall Goebel to the 2022-23 roster.
"I'm excited to bring in Kyra and Kendall," Carter said. "Both Kyra and Kendall have demonstrated tremendous potential and I can't wait to see what all they accomplish here at NC State. They are great additions to our team and will step right into our TED (Think it, Expect it, Do it) culture. Welcome to the Pack, Kyra and Kendall!"
Meade comes to Raleigh from Fairfax, Va., where she attended Robinson Secondary School and was a three-time Varsity letterwinner. She placed second at multiple matches in her final two seasons highlighted by being a Junior Olympic Qualifier in 2020 and 2022. Academically, Meade received the Presidential Service Award in 2019 while also earning a spot in the National Junior Honor Society.
Goebel makes the trek to NC State from Sarasota Military Academy in Sarasota, Fla. Goebel brings a champion mindset to Raleigh as she was the Smallbore State Champion in 2021 which allowed her to qualify for the Junior Olympics. Most recently, she placed third at the Camp Perry Ohio JROTC National Championship.
