
First Team Offense Shines in Spring Game

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Wolfpack football team was on full display at Carter-Finley Stadium, as #WPN came out to watch the 2022 Spring Game presented by Gigi's Playhouse. The Red squad, the Pack's first-team unit, took control of the contest early and finished with a 50-7 win over the White squad.
In just one half of football, QB Devin Leary was 26-of-34 for 355 yards and three touchdown passes: 1-yard to Thayer Thomas, 9-yards to Porter Rooks and 34-yards to Anthony Smith. And Leary was also the Red's leading rusher in the first half with 31 yards on a pair of carries.
PK Christopher Dunn connected on field goals of 29, 35 and 53 yards in the first half.
The Red team dominated the first half, 37-0.
Ben Finley found WR Joshua Crabtree for a 44-yard catch-and-run in the third quarter to pusheh lead to 44-0.
The scoring was capped by a pair of freshmen TDs in the fourth quarter, RB Michael Allen with a 1-yard rush and WR Julian Gray with a 45-yard catch.
