#21 NC State Returns to Raleigh for Pair of ACC Matchups

RALEIGH - The No. 12 NC State men's tennis program (14-7, 3-5 ACC) will host Georgia Tech Friday, April 8 at 6 p.m. and Clemson Sunday, April 10 at 12 p.m.
PACK IN THE RANKINGS
NC State moved up in the top 25 in the ITA team rankings on April 6, checking in at No. 21.
In the April 6 ITA singles rankings, Robin Catry remains ranked at No. 67 while Rafa Izquierdo Luque checked in at No. 124. Â
Catry is additionally ranked in doubles at No. 39Â with Luca Staeheli.
The duo of Martins Rocens and Fons Van Sambeek rounds out the group of ranked players with the No. 41Â spot in the ITA doubles rankings.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Clemson is ranked 67th in the ITA Rankings and holds a record of 10-10 (1-7 ACC). Most recently, Clemson fell to Duke in 4-0 decision.
Ryuhei Azuma and Teodor Giusca are the only ranked doubles pair for the Tigers at No. 89.
SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
The Yellow Jackets maintain an overall record of 8-9 and ACC record of 3-5. The squad is ranked 56th in the ITA Rankings.
Andres Martin is the lone ranked single competitor on the Georgia Tech team at No. 79. Martin is ranked in doubles with Marcus McDaniel at No. 8.
LAST TIME OUT
NC State earned a gritty 4-3 win over Notre Dame on April 3. Braden Shick and Joseph Schrader claimed a double win, but the Fighting Irish got the other two courts to take the doubles point.
Shick won his singles match, as did Rocens, Catry and Staeheli. The four clinched the team victory for the Pack.
UP NEXT
The Pack remains in Raleigh, concluding its regular season with matchups against No. 17 North Carolina (April 15) and No. 19 Duke (April 17).
