NCAA Zone Championships Highlighted by Bennett, O'Brien

ATLANTA, GA – Six Wolfpack divers wrapped up competition Wednesday evening at the NCAA Zone B Championships, highlighted by Bayne Bennett qualifying for the NCAA Championships on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Patrick O'Brien also competed in the 3-meter and platform finals.Â
On the 1-meter, Bennett finished with 647.45 cumulative points in 10th place. The first NCAA qualification of his career came on the 3-meter, where his 709.20 cumulative points put him in 9th place.
Patrick O'Brien competed in three events, finaling on both the 3-meter (650.20, 17th) and platform (548.70, 18th). He scored 276.50 points during 1-meter prelims.
Sophomore Matt Sexton also competed in all three events scoring 248.90 points on the 1-meter, 247.35 points on the 3-meter, and 257.80 points on the platform.Â
On the women's side, Helene Synnott (252.15), Clara Tate (206.85), and Ashton Zuburg (246.00) competed on the 1-meter, with Synnott (238.15) and Zuburg (274.35) also competing on the 3-meter board.
