Logan Morris Earns ACC Weekly Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Logan Morris of NC State softball has been named Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Co-Player of the Week as announced by the league on Wednesday evening.

Morris joins Duke's Jameson Kavel as Co-Players of the Week. Virginia Tech's Emma Lemley was named ACC Pitcher of the Week to round out the weekly ACC honors. The ACC softball weekly awards are voted on by a panel from both the schools and the conference office.

Morris led the way in a 4-1 week for NC State, highlighted by a series win against Syracuse to open ACC play. She compiled a .438 batting average and led the team with seven hits, three home runs and eight RBI with a 1.000 slugging percentage for the week. Additionally, she recorded an on-base percentage of .500.

One of her better performances of the week came in the win over Elon where Morris tallied her second career multi-homer game to lead the Wolfpack to a 6-4 win.
