Rocens, Van Sambeek Named ACC Doubles Team of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State men's tennis duo Martins Rocens and Fons Van Sambeek have been named ACC Doubles Team of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The honor is the first of the season for the 51st-ranked pair.

Rocens and Van Sambeek tabbed a pair of wins for NC State over the weekend, their first coming in 6-2 fashion against Esteban Lopez and Vasil Ivanov of NC A&T. The win was one of the two that helped the Pack claim the doubles point over the Aggies.

The pair's second win of the weekend was a ranked victory as the defeated 39th-ranked Juan Jose Bianchi and Max Motlagh in a quick 6-1 decision.
