Douglas, Reid And Thomas Named January Heart of the Pack Winners

RALEIGH โย Von Douglas (track & field), Hannah Reid (volleyball) and Drake Thomas (football) have been named the January 2022 winners of the Heart of the Pack award, the NC State Department of Athletics announced on Tuesday.

About the Heart of the Pack Award
The Heart of the Pack award recognizes the accomplishments of Wolfpack student-athletes who consistently demonstrate the following criteria:
ย
Teammate โ exhibiting selfless sacrifice to benefit the team.
Effort โ consistently giving a great effort.
Attitude โ demonstrating a positive and can-do attitude.
Mindfulness โ being aware of how you impact those around you and your environment.
ย
Student-athletes in every sport will be evaluated and nominated on a monthly basis. The voting process for these awards will be handled by the Pack Performance Team, which is an interdisciplinary team that works collaboratively with coaches and student-athletes to help maximize performance and meet their goals. The team, led by NC State's Senior Associate AD for Sports Administration & Student Servicesย Raymond Harrison, consists of professionals from the following disciplines: Strength & Conditioning, Sports Medicine, Academics, Sports Nutrition, Sport Psychology, and Student-Athlete Enhancement and Leadership.
