RALEIGH – NC State volleyball head coach Luka Slabe has announced the addition of Savannah Woods and Gabriella Karman to the 2022 roster on Friday morning.
"I am delighted to welcome Savannah and Gabriella to our Pack Volleyball family," Slabe said. "They will strengthen our Pack at libero and middle blocker in the fall. AS always, our team cannot wait to see their growth and impact on our program."
Woods is a libero coming from Jupiter High School. The Jupiter, Fla., native had a stellar senior season that ended with her being named to the AVCA All-Region 3 Team as well as the AVCA Girls High School All-America Second Team. Additionally, she is a two-time South Florida Sun Sentinel and Palm Beach Post First Team selection while making the South Florida Sentinel All-County Team her senior season.
Academically, Woods is a star in the classroom as she has been a member of numerous honor societies throughout her time at Jupiter High School while maintaining higher than a 3.5 GPA.
Karman makes her way to Raleigh from Orlando, Fla., where she was a middle blocker for Lake Nona High School. She has competed at a high level as Karman helped her team reach the 2020 State Championship while also playing a crucial role in winning two District Championships. In the classroom, Karman was a member of the National Math Honor Society and National Art Honor Society.
The duo completes the 2022 fall roster as the Wolfpack signed four incoming freshmen on National Signing Day in November before adding three transfers in the middle of December and an additional two transfers in January.
