Addy Burrow Earns GARC Scholar-Athlete Honor

RALEIGH – Addy Burrow of NC State's rifle team has been named the Great American Rifle Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for NC State as announced by the league.
Burrow graduated in December 2021 with a degree in Arts Studies concentrating in Visual Arts and a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. The Williamson, Ga., native only needed 2.5 years to graduate from NC State while earning a 3.887 grade point average.
In the spring, Burrow continued her education by going into the accelerated Bachelor's/Master's program in Liberal Arts.
During the season, Burrow paced the team in aggregate average (1170.156) and air rifle average (590.727) while being second on the team in smallbore average (579.429). Her best complete performance of the season came against Alaska on Nov. 12 where she recorded a season-high 1176 aggregate score, one point shy of her career high.
In that match, she recorded a 579 smallbore score with one cleaned target and a 597 air rifle score where she cleaned the first three targets. Her 597 mark is the second-highest air rifle score in program history.
