RAISING BANNERS IN REYNOLDS
With its win over Syracuse a week ago, the Wolfpack secured its share of the ACC regular-season title. It is the first regular-season championship for the program since 1990 (32 years). NC State has already secured the No. 1 seed for the upcoming ACC Tournament, and a victory on Sunday would guarantee the outright championship for the squad.
NOTING THE WOLFPACK (25-3, 16-1 ACC)
• NC State is 16-1 in ACC play, its best such mark through 17 league games in a season. The Pack's 16 ACC wins is a new program record for single-season league victories, beating out 14 set in 2019-20.
• NC State secured a 25+ win season for the 13th time in program history and the fifth time in the Coach Moore era. The Wolfpack has also had eight 20+ win seasons (including seven in a row) under his leadership.
• NC State was ranked No. 3 in the Associated Press Top 25 on Monday. The Wolfpack has been ranked fifth or higher in every poll this season.
• The Wolfpack is nationally ranked:
5th in three-point percentage (.381)
5th in scoring margin (+20.0)
6th in defensive rebounds per game (30.3)
7th in field-goal percentage (.467)

• NC State has defeated six top-20 opponents (No. 2 Maryland, No. 6 Indiana, No. 19 UNC, No. 16 Duke, No. 3 Louisville, No. 11 Georgia Tech) in 2021-22. The Wolfpack last earned six ranked wins in a season in 1997-98 and has not defeated seven ranked opponents since 1983-84.
• Kayla Jones is just seven points away from hitting 1,000 in her career.
SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 24-2)
• Sunday's game marks the 27th meeting between NC State and Virginia Tech. The teams have met at least once every season since 2004-05, which was the Hokies' first year in the ACC.
• The Wolfpack and the Hokies are set to face off as a pair of ranked teams for the first time in program history. Virginia Tech has been ranked in two previous matchups with NC State, but the Pack was unranked in both of those games (76-75 OT win on Jan. 17, 2005 and 64-44 win on Jan. 2, 2006).
• NC State and Virginia Tech have already met once this season, with the Wolfpack taking the 51-45 victory inside Reynolds Coliseum on Jan. 23.
• The Wolfpack has won the last two games against the Hokies as it also won the 2021 ACC Tournament quarterfinal matchup last season.
• The Hokies have just two victories in the all-time series, with the most recent win coming in the teams' second meeting of the 2020- 21 regular season.
