Debbie Antonelli Named to Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame 2022 Class

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Wolfpack women's basketball alumna and current national broadcaster Debbie Antonelli will be inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2022.
The official induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 11 in Knoxville.
Antonelli is a 1986 NC State graduate and was a three-year starter on the women's basketball team for legendary head coach Kay Yow. During her career, the Wolfpack made four NCAA Tournament appearances and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 twice. Antonelli was a member of the historic 1984-85 squad which was the last team to sweep the ACC regular season and ACC Tournament titles.
Since graduating from NC State, Antonelli has put together a pioneering career in broadcasting and is amidst her 34th college basketball season on air as an analyst for multiple networks. She is the winner of two Emmy Awards and one Gracie Award for her work in broadcasting basketball, and she was also honored with the WBCA Mel Greenberg Award. Antonelli was recently inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 2021.
Antonelli's positive impact extends beyond the sport of basketball. She is a lifetime member of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund Board of Directors, a contributor to the Special Olympics and the co-founder of Frankie and Friends anti-bullying campaign.
The Class of 2022 marks the 23rd group of inductees to be honored by the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame, which held its grand opening and inaugural induction in 1999.
