RALEIGH – No. 10 NC State women's basketball plays its lone exhibition game of the 2022-23 preseason at home on Thursday night as it hosts UNC Pembroke. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and the Braves is scheduled for 7 p.m. form Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum.
Thursday's game is free to attend. There will be no live stream or radio broadcast of the game. Fans may park in the Coliseum Deck that is adjacent to the arena.
Entering season 10 under the leadership of head coach Wes Moore, NC State is ranked 10th nationally by the Associated Press and eighth in the Coaches Poll. The team was selected to finish third in the Atlantic Coast Conference this season based on votes from the league's coaches and blue ribbon media panel.
The Wolfpack heads into 2022-23 as the reigning ACC champion after winning the tournament crown for the third season in a row and the regular season for the first time since 1984-85. NC State appeared in its second-ever NCAA Tournament Elite Eight in 2022, advancing to the regional final for the first time since 1997-98.
Jakia Brown-Turner and Diamond Johnson were named to the Preseason All-ACC Team, and Saniya Rivers is on the Newcomer Watch List. In total, the Pack returns eight players from the 2021-22 roster and added a star-studded group of three transfers.
NC State officially opens the regular season at home against Quinnipiac on Monday, Nov. 7. The Pack is set to play its first four games of the year inside Reynolds Coliseum. Season tickets for 2022-23 are sold out, but a limited number of single-game tickets and Bojangles' mini packs are still for sale.
