Softball Announces 2023 Schedule

RALEIGH – NC State head softball coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift has released the 56-game 2023 schedule Wednesday morning.
The Pack opens the 2023 slate at the Candrea Classic hosted by Arizona. NC State will face Kansas and Long Beach State on Friday Feb. 10 to open the season. The Pack will face Kansas again on Saturday before facing host school Arizona that evening. To wrap up opening weekend, the Wolfpack will face Arizona again on Sunday Feb. 12
Following the Candrea Classic, the Pack will return to Raleigh to begin a 10-game home stand. To start, NC State will host the ACC/Big Ten Challenge Feb. 17-19, facing Iowa and Purdue. Elon will then visit Dail Softball Stadium on Wednesday Feb. 22 for a lone meeting with the Wolfpack. Starting Feb. 24, the Pack will host the Wolfpack Classic to conclude the home stand, facing UPenn, East Tennessee State, and James Madison.
Conference play is slated to begin at Virginia Tech on March 3 before concluding on March 5. After a series in Blacksburg, Va., the Pack will return to Raleigh to host a midweek double header against North Carolina Central on Wednesday March 8.
ACC play will continue at-home play on Friday, March 10 when the Wolfpack hosts Notre Dame at Dail Softball Stadium. Play against the Fighting Irish will conclude on Sunday, March 12.
The Pack will play its third mid-week game of the season on March 15 at Campbell. Two days later, the Wolfpack will return to Raleigh to host Boston College March 17-19, before playing its fourth mid-week game against Radford on Wednesday, March 22.
The fourth series of ACC play will occur March 24-26 at Louisville. The Pack then returns home to host North Carolina A&T for its fifth mid-week game of the season on Wednesday, March 29.
From March 31 to April 2, NC State will play in the LSU Tournament hosted by LSU. The Pack will then face Louisiana Tech on March 31 and April 1, LSU on March 31 and April 2, and a lone meeting with BYU on April 1.
The Pack will be on the road for the fifth ACC series, as it heads to Syracuse April 6-8. The Wolfpack then returns to Raleigh for a 12-game home stand.
NC State will then host USC Upstate on Tuesday April 11, ACC foes Clemson (April 14-16) and UNC (April 21-23), a doubleheader with Norfolk State on April 26 and the last home games of the 2023 season will be a series with East Carolina (April 29-30).
The Wolfpacks' final midweek game of the season is lated for May 3 at 4pm against Liberty.
The final road trip of conference play will be to Pittsburgh May 5-7.
The ACC Tournament will be hosted by Notre Dame May 10-13 in South Bend, Ind.
