
Some young faces shine for Pack at Journeymen Collegiate Classic

BETHLEHEM, PA Several NC State wrestlers saw their first action of the season, with a trio - Jacob Cox, Finn Solomon, Alex Faison - winning their pools.
Cox, the true freshman from China Grove, finished first in 133D Pool B.
Solomon, the true freshman from Murrysvile, Pa., finished first in the 149B division.
It was the first time this season the duo wrestled. Cox defeated Nate Sippy (VMI) 8-0 to earn a major decision, followed by a win over Joe Couch (West Point) 3-1.
Solomon also earned a major decision, defeating Drew Witham (Long Island) 18-9. After a second-round bye, Solomon defeated Calvin Pineda 2-0.
Troy Hohman earned back-to-back victories in rounds two and three of the 125B group, knocking off Charlie Farmer (West Point) 4-1 and Brady Pruett (Penn) on a major decision to finish second in his division.
Faison, a redshirt junior from Whispering Pines, defeated Jagger Condomitti (Nebraska) 5-3, Christian Hunt (West Point) 6-5 and Connor Herceg (Lehigh) 10-5 to finish first in the 165B division.
Aaron Faison, another true freshman, also from Whispering Pines, finished second in the 157D pool. The younger Faison earned a fall over Connor Macdonald of Sacred Heart in the third round.
True freshman Dylan Fishback finished second in the 184B divisions, earning a major decision over Nathan Haas (Nebraska) 14-4 and a decision over A.J. Burkhart, 5-2.
