
Pack Continues Dominant Streak, Top Hokies 3-1

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The Wolfpack was unstoppable Friday night as it took on Virginia Tech and won 3-1 (25-23, 25-13, 22-25, 25-17).
Graduate outside hitter Vanja Bukilic was one of three Pack members with 13 kills.
Freshman Ava Brizard recorded her third double-double of the season. She finished the match with 13 kills and 13 digs.
Outside hitter Amanda Rice recorded 13 kills for the Pack as well.
Junior middle blocker Riley Shaak recorded her 10th straight game with three or more blocks this season. She finished the evening with six.
Set One (25-23)
The Hokies took an early lead and the Pack struggled to gain momentum. After tying the set 13-13, it was a back and forth battle. NC State was able to capitalize on the Hokies 13 errors in the set. Bukilic led the Wolfpack with five kills.
Set Two (25-13)
The Wolfpack took an early lead and never looked back. The Hokies trailed by four at one point but were unable to stop the Pack. Freshman Elaisa Villar was behind the service line for five straight Pack Points and helped bring NC State to set point. At the end of the set, Rice tallied 10 kills for the Pack.
Set Three (22-25)
The Pack trailed to start the set but took a 14-12 lead after scoring six-straight. With the Wolfpack leading 22-19, Brizard had secured her third double-double of the season as she had 10 kills and 10 digs at the time. Virginia Tech managed to come back and take the set after scoring six straight points.
Set Four (25-17)
The Wolfpack was unstoppable and started the set 8-1. The Hokies made several attempts to stop the Pack
