Brizard Earns Second ACC Freshman of the Week Honor

RALEIGH -- Freshman outside hitter Ava Brizard has earned her second ACC Freshman of the Week honor, as announced by the conference office Monday afternoon.

She first earned the honor the week of Sept. 5, after recording 32 kills, 34.5 points, 24 digs, and three blocks for the Pack at the first weekend of the NC State Classic.

Brizard earned the honor for the second time after helping lead the Pack against both Florida State and Miami. She totaled 12 kills kills against the Seminoles and was one of three to post 15 kills against the Hurricanes. She recorded 26 kills on the weekend to average 3.71 per set and finish with a .257 hitting percentage. She also tallied two blocks, two digs, and two service aces.

The Wolfpack will spend week three of conference play on the road as it heads to Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
