Katelyn Tuohy named USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week

NEW ORLEANS – NC State sophomore Katelyn Tuohy earned some national recognition on Monday.
Tuohy was named the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country National Athlete of the Week.
Tuohy is fresh off a record-breaking weekend at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational on Friday. In the 5K, Tuohy shattered the Burke Golf Course record, finishing with a time of 15:50.0.
It's the first time since 2020 that an athlete from NC State has been named the National Athlete of the Week during cross country season.
Tuohy (Stony Point, NY) is the defending NCAA 5000m outdoor champion.
The Wolfpack is back in action on Oct. 14 at the Nuttycombe Invitational and the ECU Pirate Invitational.
