NC State tennis to participate in ITA regionals in Cary

RALEIGH Members of the NC State tennis team will participate in the ITA Regionals starting Friday morning in Cary.
Cary Tennis Park is one of 12 regional host sites across the country. Twenty three teams will participate in the regionals.
Winners of the ITA regionals qualify for the fall championships.
Joseph Wayand, Luca Staeheli, Damien Salvestre and Rafa Izquierdo Luque start singles play for the Wolfpack at 9 am. Braden Shick and Robin Catry begin singles play at 11 am, while Fons Van Sambeek starts at 11:30 am. Martins Rocens begins at noon.
Rocens and Van Sambeek are the top seeded doubles team for the event.
Izquierdo Luque and Wayand are a 9-16 seed in the doubles field.
Salvestre/Shick (7 seed) and Catry/Staeheli (3 seed) will also pair up in doubles action for NC State.
