RALEIGH – NC State placekicker Christopher Dunn has been named to The Associated Press midseason All-America team presented by Regions Bank, selected by AP Top 25 voters and released Tuesday.
Through seven games, Dunn is tied for the longest current streak of consecutive field goals made in the FBS with 14 straight makes.
Dunn has connected on all 14 of his attempts this season, the second-highest total of field goals made in the nation for 2022. His current streak of 14 straight makes ranks third in school history, which is second only to Lou Groza Award winner Marc Primanti's streak of 27 (1995-96) and Dunn's stretch of 19 straight earlier in his career (2018-19).
Eight of Dunn's kicks in 2022 have been good from 40+ yards. Dunn is a perfect 9-for-9 on field-goal attempts against ACC competition, nailing at least two kicks in each matchup. He was named a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week and the ACC Specialist of the Week after converting four field goals in NC State's 19-17 win over Florida State on Oct. 8.
