Christopher Dunn Named a Groza Star of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. – In addition to being tabbed the ACC Specialist of the Week after his clutch performance in the Pack's comeback win over Florida State, Christopher Dunn was also named a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission on Tuesday morning.
Dunn, a graduate student from Lexington, North Carolina, drilled all four of his field-goal tries to stay perfect on the season. The Pack's kicker not only connected on a game-winning 27-yard try in the fourth quarter, but he also tied his career-long with a 53-yarder less than three minutes into the final period. His four makes in Saturday's win tied a career-high, which was previously accomplished against Florida State in 2018 and 2019.
Dunn is one of just 15 FBS kickers with a perfect field-goal percentage this season. His 11 makes without a miss are tied with Memphis' Chris Howard for the most in the country. He scored the final nine points for the Wolfpack in the comeback victory on Saturday.
The graduate kicker nailed attempts from 27, 38, 40 and 53 yards in the Pack's comeback victory, finishing the contest with 13 of the Pack's 19 points. The fifth-year starter is the active FBS career leader in both field goals and kick-scoring.
The Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award is presented annually to the nation's top collegiate place-kicker.
