RALEIGH – Head coach Luka Slabe of NC State volleyball has added Jeremiah Gonidakis and John Grossman to the coaching staff on Monday.
Gonidakis was hired as an assistant coach while Grossman will serve as the team's volunteer assistant coach.
"Pack Volleyball welcomes Jeremiah to our coaching staff," Slabe said. "In our hiring process we were looking for a high-character individual, a hard worker and an avid learner. Jeremiah encompasses all of these virtues. While spending time at Nebraska, he proved himself as an elite coworker and coach. We are very fortunate to have Jeremiah representing our University and our program in the future. Welcome!"
Gonidakis comes to Raleigh after serving a two-year stint as the graduate assistant at Nebraska. While in that role, he facilitated drills in practice, assisted in creating weekly scouting reports and helped with recruiting responsibilities. Additionally, he created videos daily for coach and player education.
While Gonidakis was a GA he was also the head coach of Volleyball Club Nebraska where he created a video library system to help educate coaches and directed tryouts for over 500 athletes. Prior to his time in Nebraska, Gonidakis was the volunteer assistant coach at Kent State from 2017-19.
With the Golden Flashes he assisted with team travel including meal orders and scheduling various activities, coordinated team defense for scouting purposes and trained middles while helping the team with blocking.
Gonidakis played collegiately from 2015-17 at Cincinnati Christian University. He received his bachelor degree from Kent State in December 2019 in communication.
Grossman begins his time at NC State after being an assistant coach at Arcadia University over the past three seasons. During his time with Arcadia, he mainly worked with passers and outsides while providing instrumental help in practices and training.
"We are delighted to have John Grossman joining our Pack Volleyball family," Slabe said. "On behalf of our team, staff, fans, and our University, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to our new volunteer coach. We are excited to see his contribution to this team."
