Forward picked 67th overall in the third round
RALEIGH – Senior forward Ivy Brisma of the NC State men's soccer team was selected by CF Montréal in the 2022 Major LEague Soccer SuperDraft on Tuesday.
He was chosen in the third round of the draft and was the 67th overall pick.
"I am very proud of Ivy," said head coach George Kiefer. "What a great story! I look forward to watching his pro career."
Brisma began his NC State career with the 2018 campaign and was an instrumental part of back-to-back NCAA Championships appearances for the team his first two seasons in Raleigh.
The East Windsor, N.J., native appeared in 69 matches, earned the starting nod in 53 of those and clocked a total of 4,697 minutes during his collegiate career. He played in all but three of NC State's matches in the last four seasons and played 90+ minutes in 16 contests.
Over the course of his seasons with the Wolfpack, Brisma tallied five goals and 11 assists. In both 2018 and 2021, Brisma posted his highest single-season point totals with six (one goal, four assists) in each campaign. As a junior in 2020, he put together a multi-goal campaign, scoring against Duke and notching the match winner at UAB that season. Brisma also had two career games with multiple assists, most recently accomplishing that feat in the Pack's 2021 road win at Longwood.
