RALEIGH, N.C. – The honors keep rolling in for NC State, as QB Devin Leary has been named the Davey O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week for his performance in the Pack's 27-21 overtime defeat of then-No. 9 Clemson.
Against the Tigers, Leary completed 32-of-44 passes for 238 yards with no interceptions. He tied his career-high with four touchdown passes (Pitt in 2020), and all four of the Pack's scores came via Leary's arm.
In the two overtime periods Leary completed 3-of-4 passes for 27 yards and two TD passes. He found Thayer Thomas from two yards out on third down to answer Clemson's score in the first OT, and his 22-yard corner strike to WR Devin Carter in the second OT proved to be the game-winner.
This week Leary was also named the Walter Camp FBS Offensive Player of the Week, the ACC QB of the Week, and to the Davey O'Brien's Great 8 list.
