Jada Allen Named ACC Co-Freshman of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State volleyball middle blocker Jada Allen has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Freshman of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Joining Allen as Co-Freshman of the Week is Elena Scott from Louisville. This honor is Allen's first of her young career.
Allen had an outstanding weekend as she helped the team go a perfect 3-0 and be named the Rutgers 9/11 Memorial Tournament Champions. The freshman recorded 33 kills while hitting a team-best .456. Additionally, she tallied two service aces and led the defensive charge with nine total blocks.
Her standout performance came in the Friday nightcap against Rutgers as she secured a season-high 17 kills on a blistering .500 hitting percentage with four blocks. Allen followed up that stellar outing with another great offensive showing as she posted eight kills in 11 swings for a season-high .636 hitting clip on Saturday against NJIT.
